We are proud to introduce machining to our growing list of capabilities! Beginning in late summer 2019, we are set to welcome two Haas Automation machines; a VF-11 and a UMC-1000. The VF-11 is a larger scale 3-axis machine, with a travel distance of 3,048 x 1,016 x 762mm. For smaller and more complex jobs, the 5-axis UMC-1000 has a travel distance of 1,016 x 635 x 635mm. These two machines are complimentary to the rest of our services and their universal set of tooling allows for flexible and customized tooling options.
Machines do what we tell them, the fun is in what we say.
We have multiple flat sheet laser cutting systems, including automated loading/unloading and part sorting equipment and engineers who are experts in using them. Our facility is equipped with the most technologically advanced Trumpf industrial 2D lasers available. Our lineup includes a 3000 watt model with a unique 80" x 160" cutting bed, a 5000 watt version and a 6000 watt laser with a 60" x 120" cutting bed and the capability of cutting up to 1" thick carbon steel. Our flat sheet laser cutting capabilities put us among the preferred metal fabrication choices for the solar and wind renewable energy industries, defence subcontractors, electronics manufacturers and any customers requiring the high volume, ultra-precision cutting that only current flat sheet laser cutting systems can deliver.
We are proud to offer tube laser cutting; a highly efficient, fully automated process with benefits ranging from efficiency gains to much tighter tolerances. The net result of our tube laser cutting equipment is being able to process your job much more quickly and precisely – regardless of complexity – with near zero scrap rates. Our tube laser cutting systems also mean we are more flexible than many metal fabrication plants. This service is available for material up to 254 mm (10") in diameter, 9.53 mm (3/8") in wall thickness and 8.53 m (28 ft) in length, for tubing of any shape and any profile (including flat bar, angle iron and channel).
CNC forming and bending offers accuracy, speed and the ability to produce highly complex designs. We operate multiple press brakes and folding machines and offer CNC forming and bending; including equipment capable of 7-axis bending with automatic crowning. We use precision hardened and ground tooling for more accurate and higher quality results.
Welding and assembly has become increasingly automated in recent years, yet skilled manual capability is still highly valuable —and often difficult to find. We invested early in robotics and have multiple highly advanced welding systems with full offline programming of robotic cells (an ability that speeds order completion and minimizes production stops). In addition to the adoption of robotic equipment, we've also maintained a highly skilled manual welding shop. Our welders are aided by our use of modular fixturing systems that greatly improve accuracy and reduce cost. We offer GMAW/MIG and GTAW/TIG welding with Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certification to the Canadian Standards Association: CSA W-47.1 and W-47.2. With high volume robotic and skilled manual welding, we are able to take on production runs of virtually any size or complexity.
We use leading edge technology designed to program our equipment offline. Offline programming saves operator set-up time, thereby minimizing machine idle time. Our team of highly trained engineers program flat sheet lasers, tube lasers, CNC brake presses, CNC tube benders and our robotic welding cells. They are also able to consult on redesigns and work with our partners to improve product designs.
Our delivery vehicle is equipped with a 26 foot bed, a quick draw tarp system to keep cargo dry and is capable of hauling loads of up to 30,000 pounds. We offer competitive rates, unbeatable customer service and a seamless experience from the point of ordering to when your finished product arrives at your facility.
